Diving in Biggesee

Biggesee, Lake Bigge or Bigge Reservoir, is a large water mass in the southern part of the Sauerland, North Rhine-Westphalia, between the towns of Olpe and Attendorn, about one hour east of Cologne.

Nestled between the rural undulating lands of Central and West Germany, the 876ha (2165ac) reservoir presents clean waters, unusually sandy shores, and a large campsite, which is enough to keep divers and non-divers content.

Popular during the warmer months, and with a reasonably good depth of about 40m (131ft), the lake is suitable for divers of all levels.
