Diving in Blausteinsee

Blausteinsee, Blaustein Lake, is an artificial lake north of the Eschweiler municipality in the Aachen district of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Known as a popular leisure and recreation area, the lake has an area is around 100ha (247ac), and depth is 46m (151ft). Other than diving, visitors enjoy swimming, boating, and kayaking.

Suitable for both beginners and advanced divers, there is a possibility to partake in night dives, explore the various submerged attractions such as a sunken vehicles, boats, a statue, and some trees.

Blausteinse boasts a variety of fauna including water snails, crabs, amphibians, and a large number of small to medium-sized fish, like perch, carp and eels.
