Diving in Bourail

Bourail is one of the central towns on Grande Terre, the main island of New Caledonia. All Bourail dive sites are enjoyable year-round since this area is sheltered from the trade winds. The bottom topography of this area is very diverse, full of faults, caves, canyons, drop-offs, and tunnels, making the diving here exciting. The coral reef is colorful and healthy, swarming with butterflyfish, parrotfish, clownfish, and more. Diving in the passes brings more abundant, larger fish; you will be able to observe barracudas, sharks (whitetip, grey, and leopard), turtles, large schools of snappers, and stingrays. Leopard rays are also frequently encountered.
