Diving in Cabilao

Cabilao is a small island located about 30 km (18.6 miles) from Tagbilaran, just in front of Bohol’s north coast. Coral reefs that fall steeply down to about 50 meters (164 feet) surround this island. Beginners can dive in the shallower areas where they can find a seagrass meadow and impressive coral formations occupied by stone fish and harlequin ghost pipefish. Wall diving is famous in this area, where both beginners and more advanced divers are welcome. You can expect to see many pelagic fish like barracudas, dogtooth tunas, frogfish, large groupers, snappers, sea snakes, napoleon wrasses and giant trevallies.
