Diving in Cabo de Gata

The natural geopark Cabo de Gata Nijar, the most protected area of the Mediterranean coast, is uniquely where one can find a brilliant contrast between terrestrial and marine.

Its crystal clear waters make an ideal place for diving alongside spectacular volcanic cliffs and reefs, with the chance to explore deep, dark caves. Due to the mild climate you can dive here year-round and the waters have fantastic visibility due to the low population on the shores here.

With 63m (39 miles) of coastline to explore, you’ll be able to take a whole range of animals and plant species, around a thousand to be exact.
