Diving in Cape Town

Cape Town has been called the “Cape of Storms” because of the harsh weather and coastline that has caused numerous ships to wreck in the waters around the city over the course of its history. Today, many of those shipwrecks can be accessed by divers in the area. There are wrecks in all different water conditions and at different depths so there are wrecks for divers of every level to explore. Some of the most well-known one wreck sites are the SAS Pietermaritzburg, the Smits Wrecks, Duiker Island, Aster, and the Boss 400.
