Diving in Cospudener See
Cospudener See, is an artificial lake in Markkleeberg, Saxony, approximately 7km (4mi) south of the city of Leipzig.
Located on the site of a former open cast mine, the lake is very popular with the local population, from swimmers to divers and sailors, due to its clean waters, long stretches of sandy beaches, and a small harbor.
With a size of 4ha (10ac), and a maximum depth of about 54m (180ft), it is suitable for divers of all levels. Its underwater fauna, though is not spectacular, is bettered by an underwater rocky landscape largely covered by some magnificent flora.
