Diving in Garichtisee

Just to confuse things, this lake is known by two names, the Garichtsee or the Mettmensee, by locals. A reservoir situated in the Glarus canton, it is set 637m (2,090ft) above sea level and has a depth of up to 40m (131ft) making it ideal for more advanced divers who want to explore deeper. The lake is also set within a game reserve and has a water temperature of 14 to 24C (57 to 75F) with a maximum length of 637m (2,089ft) and maximum width of 305m (1,000ft). It doesn’t have the greatest underwater visibility, another reason why beginners may not enjoy it as much.
