Diving in Grundlsee

The Grundlsee is one of the most versatile diving waters in Austria, where steep walls can be found as well as shallow water zones with a large variety of animals and plants. Three easy-to-reach brook estuaries provide clear water and exceptional fish wealth. Here, the largest specimens of salmon and trout have been sighted, sometimes exceeding one meter in length. The lake freezes every year and is ideal for ice diving. Located at the foot of the dead mountains in the Salzkammergut, the region is one of the best diving areas in Europe.
