Diving in Grüblsee

Lake Grüblsee is located at an altitude of 1,160m (3,805ft) and houses the highest dive center in the whole of Europe. The lake covers an area of two hectares and has a maximum depth of 9m (30ft). The whole lake is also designed with a plastic tarpaulin. Grüblsee is also known as the Styrian Alpine Aquarium and an underwater petting zoo. It is exceptional for diving opportunities with numerous fish species as well as several underwater sights that have been installed in the lake. They include cannons, Egyptian figures, Greek statues, aliens with flying saucers and even a knight’s armor.
