Diving in Izu Peninsula

With a wide variety of diving including caves and wrecks, the Izu Peninsula offers some of the most popular sites and best diving in Japan. This area is covered with high mountains and ancient volcanoes whose past lava flows have left unique terrain both on land and underwater. Divers can visit rocky and sandy areas covered in colorful hard and soft corals. Dive sites are strictly regulated and can only be visited by certain dive service providers. Unauthorized dive boats cannot visit sites they are not permitted to, so plan accordingly.
