Koumac is north of Noumea and usually the last stop before heading to the east coast. Diving in Koumac offers pleasant underwater surprises suitable for all levels of divers. The Koumac area is home to a dozen named dive sites, filled with caves, faults, and drop-offs. It is not uncommon to see sharks, barracudas, Napoleon wrasses, jacks, groupers, schools of humpback parrots, and also beautiful gorgonians, nudibranchs, and turtles.
