Diving in Lake Ontario

Lake Ontario has been accurately named one of the top 10 dive destinations on a couple of occasions. This stunning lake has hundreds of dive sites scattered throughout all the area. Many different adventures are waiting for you, including amazing shipwrecks, wall dives, and shore dives. At times visibility can be better than anywhere in the tropics, reaching 100 to 200 feet (30 to 61 meters). An easy but unforgettable shore dive is waiting for you at Humber Bay Park West. A short boat ride away is the Sligo, an 1860’s three-masted schooner. More experienced divers should head to Lyman E. Davis, which is a wreck located a bit further out. These are only some of the many amazing dive sites you can find in Lake Ontario.
