Diving in Luganville

Luganville, located on Vanuatu’s largest island Espiritu Santo, has a dynamic past. This historically rich area of the island is littered with WWII paraphernalia, making for excellent archaeological diving. The Allies used Luganville as a military base during WWII, and for three years, more than half a million military personnel were stationed here, waiting for battle. At times there were 100 ships moored off Luganville. This rich past now left a wreck diver’s paradise, offering some of the best wreck diving in Vanuatu with sites like the SS President Coolidge, Million Dollar Point, and MV Henry Bonneaud.
