Diving in Messinghausen

Messinghausen, also known as See In Berg, or “Lake in the Mountain, is a mass of water located in an old quarry in the town of Brilon, Rhine-Westphalia, some 90km (56mi) west of Dortmund.

Surrounded by lush green foliage, the rustic stone quarry has a maximum depth of 45m (148ft), and its clear waters consist of rainwater only.

Divers of all levels will enjoy exploring the many underwater features, with include old mining platforms, and sunken vehicles, as well as rich marine life, and interesting rock formations.
