Diving the Mi’l Channel

Mi’l Channel, the area that made Yap famous among divers, is located on the northern end of the island. We recommend you travel to this region during winter months when you will witness dozens of mantas congregating in staggering numbers for mating season. Sit back and admire these amazingly graceful animals in Mi’l Channel, Manta Ridge, and Yap Corner, which are some of the best dive sites in the region. After your manta ray encounter, you can head south and dive Yap’s shark feed dive, Vertigo, where you will be surrounded with blacktip, grey, and whitetip reef sharks.
