Diving in Naxos

The largest of Greece’s Cyclades island group is the island of Naxos. It is covered in mountain villages, ancient ruins, and long stretches of beach. The reef structure here is simply unparalleled with one of the best reef dives in all of Greece here, the Graviera Reef. This dive truly has it all. There is interesting topography with canyons, caves, caverns, and swim-throughs, all of which are covered with colorful corals and sponges. The area also boasts exciting wrecks like the cargo ship Marianna, the wreck Express Samina, and two planes; the Beaufighter, a WWII bomber, and Arado Seaplane, a German airplane from WWI.
