Diving in Neufelder See

The 23 meter (75ft)-deep lake Neufelder See is situated south of Greater Vienna; approximately 50km (31 miles) from the border between the provinces of Lower Austria and Burgenland.
Scuba diving in Neufelder See is fun and adventurous. At depths of about 12-15 meters (39-49ft), the lake has good visibility all year round. However, depending on the seasons, occasional turbidity may occur which could limit the visibility range to 0.5 to two meters (1.6-7ft).
Here you can see very large perch, pike, zander, catfish, giant carp, chub, and other fish. Particularly well known in the lake is its dense population of crabs and the large signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) from North America.
