Diving in Odawara and Manazuru Peninsula

Odawara and Manazuru Peninsula are easily accessible by car or train from Tokyo and the metropolitan area. There are many reefs and sandy areas off the coast to explore. Guide rope is installed underwater at most dive sites, making navigation easy. With no dive boats in this area, fishing boats are used for diving. Divers will see scorpion fish in the rocky areas, and goby and flounder in the sandy areas. In the spring, small lumpfish and snail fish can be found amongst the seaweed. Summer offers a good possibility to see squid.
