Diving in the Marine Protected Area La Maddalena

The Archipelago of La Maddalena has been a National Park in Sardinia since 1995. This area contains a number of mostly unpopulated islands and islets. There are over 30 dive sites in this area alone. The archipelago features rocky bottoms where a wide variety of sea life live. One of the best dive sites in the park is Washington Rock which will have you diving between 20 and 27 meters (66 to 89ft) and exploring some great topography and seeing some very cool marine life that is a good representation of this area.
