Diving in Schmaler Luzin

Schmaler Luzin, its name taken from the once-native Slavic tribe of the area, called Liutizen, is situated in Feldberg Lake District Nature Park, defined by its many lakes, forests and bogs a landscape carved out in the last ice age. The narrow Luzin is about 6km (3.7 miles)-long and 75m to 300m (246ft to 984ft) wide, with fairly steep banks. Also difficult are its entry points. The steep banks also continue underwater – you can reach depths of over 30m (98ft). Here you will find boulders of different sizes and underwater trees as well as plenty of shells and fish, pike, eels, perch, tench and zander.
