Diving in Schweriner See

Technically known as a glacier tongue lake, Schweriner is one of the most popular dive centers in northern Germany. Several submerged motor and sailboat wrecks take divers down to a depth of 20 meters (66ft). In the shallower area are various car and boat wrecks which have been sunk to offer diving beginners exciting targets in depths of five to eight meters (16 to 26ft). You will also find some installations, in between, such as a telephone booth, signs, benches, clothes racks or an artificial shark. The underwater life is abundant with large eels, pikes, roach and perch.
