Diving in Shonan and Miura Peninsula

Close to big cities such as Tokyo and Yokohama, this area hosts divers, surfers, and windsurfers daily. Underwater, divers can find a uniquely striped terrain that has formed from the accumulation of sand and rocks over time. Hundreds of species of sea slugs have been discovered in this unique environment so far. You can encounter as many as 30 species of sea slug in just one dive. This area is also rich in seaweed and, therefore, abundant in seahorses. They inhabit the coral and, in sandy areas, are found mimicking seaweed.
