Diving in Socorro Islands
The deep blue water and strong currents of the Socorro Islands is perfect for the more advanced diver. You will find yourself surrounded by abundant marine life with species such as hammerhead sharks, schooling sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, giant oceanic manta rays, and large fish. Socorro Islands, also known as the furthest corner of Mexico, offer some of the best diving sites in Mexico. The departure port is Cabo San Lucas, and from there, the island can only be reached by liveaboard. The average trip is between 8 and 15 days long. A small number of companies operate here, so make sure you book your trip in advance.
