Diving in Somosomo Strait

Running between Taveuni Island and Vanua Levu, you will find The Somosomo Strait, Fiji’s best-known diving destination. Divers from all around the world flock to this area to witness the amazing soft coral blooms. Current is good for beginner divers, as it is usually just enough to float you along; however, it tends to pick up, and when it does you’ll see these amazing, tiny creatures expand to feed and show you their full glory. The nutrient-rich waters of the Somosomo Strait feed plenty of pelagic species. You’ll find barracudas, sharks, turtles, and manta rays.
