A stunning alpine lake set right within the Bernese Oberland, Thun has the prestige of being the largest lake in Switzerland that is located entirely in one canton. It is also a joy to explore. The Wwater temperature ranges from 13 to 16C (55 to 60F) during spring and fall, 16 to 18C (60 to 64F) for summer, and a chilly 10C (50F) during the winter months. The average visibility of these fresh waters is about 6- 10m (20-33ft) with a maximum depth of more than 46m, making it a fascinating dive site.
