Diving in Weymouth and Portland

In this area, Chesil beach is a well-known training site for divers and is where many people in this area come to learn. Weymouth and Portland are also home to the Aeolian Sky shipwreck, which is a great dive for more seasoned divers to check out. On the west side of Weymouth is the sunken submarine, the HMS M2. It sunk in 1932 and now lies 36 meters (118ft) underneath the surface, making it a very deep location to see a submarine wrecked in its natural habitat.
