Diving in Wummsee

Set in the district of Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin, Brandenburg, this lake extends over 1.5 square kilometers and has crystalline waters turning from turquoise to deep blue. It reaches depths of 35m (114ft) and is known for its lush freshwater plants as well as two islands towards the north of the lake. The water quality is excellent, it is of drinking quality, and with no boats allowed on the lake it is reserved just for divers and swimmers. Here you’re likely to find perch, pike, carp, tench, pikeperch and various white fish species.
