Bajo Amarillo

Bajo Amarillo is an impressive formation on Culebra’s Atlantic side. The top of the “bump“ is less than 20 feet deep with depths reaching approximately 80 feet where the coral meets the sand, hence the Beginner to Advanced rating.

Lying on its back in approximately 50 feet of water, the airplane is one of Culebra’s few wreck dives. Currents can be quite strong depending on the tide, hence the Beginner / Advanced level.

Devon’s Drop

Coral fingers protrude along the coastline, abundant soft corals and fans. NO TAKE - this site is in the Luis Pena Reserve where no fishing or taking animals of any kind is allowed (including Lionfish without a permit). Currents can be from mild to strong depending on the tides, hence the Beginner/Advanced rating.

Tamarindo Beach

The Luis Pena Canal / Channel Marine Reserve hosts several dive sites ranging in depth from 30 ft / 9 m to nearly 80 ft / 24 m. Snorkeling is very popular here. It is a NO TAKE zone, no fishing, lobstering, or taking animals of any kind, any time of year.

Lana's Cove

Named after a local lady who ran a tour boat in Culebra many years ago. As the legend goes, when she passed her friends and family scattered her ashes and scuttled her boat in this cove. A small portion of Lana’s boat remain in about 20 feet/6m of water. Gently sloping terrain drops down to around 60 feet/18m.

Tugboat

The Tugboat lies in only 40 feet of water, but the area is surrounded by shallow reefs so caution is necessary when attempting to dive this site. Current can be mild to strong, and there are some limited penetration opportunities for wreck certified divers, hence the Beginner to Advanced rating.
