Mini-Grotto on Shimoji Island, Okinawa, is a unique cave dive where you swim through an underwater tunnel and surface in a hidden pond. With a max depth of 20m, it’s suitable for all levels. Natural light fills the cave, and the return route passes “Bent’s Mark,” adding an adventurous twist.

Antonio Gaudi is located on the west side of Shimoji Island next to Irabu Island, about 5 km west of Miyako Island. The name was given to the innumerable intricate and mysterious arches that look as if they were designed by Gaudi. Everyone is fascinated by the beauty that nature has created here.

Nakanoshima Channel on Shimoji Island, Miyako, offers depths of 5–25m and calm currents, ideal for all levels. Its maze of crevasses, arches, and tunnels creates stunning light effects on clear days, making it a favorite for both scenery and exploration.

Nakanoshima Hole on Irabu Island has a dramatic topography where you enter at 5m and descend to a 25m hole, viewing striking light–shadow contrasts. Facing the open ocean, currents can be strong. It is best for intermediate to advanced divers.

Marine Lake on Shimoji Island, Okinawa, is a unique dive site connected to the ocean via underwater passages. Suitable for beginners to intermediate divers, it features a cave route leading to a surface pond where light beams shine through the ceiling like lasers, creating a stunning and otherworldly experience.

Located in the western part of Shimoji Island, it takes about 30 minutes by boat from Miyako Island to reach Devil’s Palace. You will descend from the crevasse and enter through an entrance at a depth of about 15 meters, with a maximum depth of 25 meters, through narrow, dark passageways and arches.

The Cave in Shimojishima, Miyakojima, is a 15m-deep, beginner-friendly site with a doughnut-shaped layout. Sunlight through ceiling cracks creates stunning views. Alongside its topography, it hosts red clownfish, dolphinfish, nudibranchs, anemonefish, and diverse marine life.

Twin Cave is a mid-depth dive site (18–20m) featuring two interconnected cave entrances. Light filtering through creates a stunning blue curtain effect, adding a mystical feel. Schools of fish are often seen inside. Best suited for intermediate to advanced divers seeking topographic beauty and light contrast.

Cross Hole on Irabu Island, Okinawa, is a cave-style site with depths from 5–27m. A cross-shaped hole in the ceiling lets in light, creating a mystical effect. With a mix of vertical and horizontal passages, it’s beginner-friendly while offering dramatic topography and stunning light-play for all.

Crystal Park on Shimoji Island, Okinawa, is a shallow site (max 10m) with coral heads scattered across pure white sand. Its clear blue water and sparkling light make it ideal for relaxed dives, where you can see schools of snappers, juvenile fish, and macro life. Best season: fall to spring.
