Tug boat Romital was cruising from Novigrad to Triest in the night of 20.12.1944. Near the cape of Savudrija it had problem with engine and a water flood. The crew was rescued, but Romital was attacked by 4 Beaufighter planes and went down to the bottom. Now its the most colorful wreck in Northern Istria.

Gilda Wreck

The cargo S/S Gilda, loaded with magnesite and equipment at Triest, ran aground and then hit a mine 3.5 nautical miles WNW of Punta Salvore (Point Savudrija, Croatia) on June 23rd 1915. Gilda sank in three minutes time, but without loss of life. It is on 26m split into 2 parts which are 48m from each other.
