Lewda

AKA Kinks, low profile coral over white sand, 45-50’. Multiple old anchors can be found, site is bounded by large concrete cubes. Can be prone to current, not much protection. Former site of Lerner Marine Lab acoustic studies on fishlife; cables can still be seen laying across reef.

Turtle Rocks - Bahamas

Extensive ledge system with many overhangs and some scattered small to large hard coral heads. Loads of macro life, good for slow dives with a flashlight during the day.

Bimini Barge (Wreck)

This is a deep wreck off Bimini, in the Bahamas, on the edge of a drop-off. It attracts many pelagics and schools of permit and African Pompano. Prone to current and depths start at 76’ (23m) so advanced certification is recommended.

The Strip

Small strip of coral in 40’ (12m) of water, surrounded by sand and algae beds. Low profile with numerous ledges and overhangs. Huge schools of grunts and snappers, eels, turtles, nurse sharks. Plenty of macro life to explore as well for the seasoned diver. Excellent for all experience levels.

SS Sapona (Wreck)

Concrete ship run aground in the early 1900s, former rum-running vessel, turned USAF practice target, now a bustling artificial reef with a wild history. Shallow (15’) and prone to tidal currents and unpredictable water temperature, best to dive during slack or incoming tide.

Krispy Kreme

Dramatic wall on edge of the Gulf Stream, starting at 65’ (19m) with spur and groove formation. Site is prone to current and often done as a drift dive.

Part of the Victory Reef system, long stretch of sloping wall from 35’/11m to 70’/23m. Area is prone to Gulf Stream Currents but sites have many swim-throughs with areas for shelter.

Sloping reef starting at 45’ (13m) and bottoming out at 90’ (27m). Spur and groove formation with swim throughs and channels. At the edge of the Gulf Stream so can be prone to current.

Blue Chromis - Bahamas

Sloping reef ranging from 35-70’ (10-21m) with loads of swim-throughs and overhangs hiding lobsters, eels, and rare blennies. It can be prone to current this so this is often done as a drift dive.

Bull Run

Former liveaboard shark feed site, 3-8 female Caribbean Reef sharks still habitually hang around here. High profile large scattered coral heads over white sand / algae beds, 35-60’/10-18m. Coral forms caverns and maze pathways in places where divers can swim through.
