Old Bauxite Mine

Under the old Bauxite Mines of Amorgos on the east side of the island, you will find a unique dive site that bears witness to the once bustling mines. After a steep drop off there is a plateau at 18 metres where you can see parts of the equipment used to load the mined bauxite to different cargo ships.

This is a boat dive for all diver levels. This site is an easy relaxing wall dive. You can see the remains of the old lighthouse very close to the port and easy to reach. This is a beautiful wall.
