Limestone Head

A 20 minute boat ride from the marina. Well protected from winds from the south and most swells. An easy dive to navigate with plenty of fish life to see.

Cheynes III (Wreck)

The Cheynes III was the first “purpose prepared“ wreck dive sunk as an artificial reef. It was a 47.9m long whale chaser sitting at its deepest at 23m. Average visibility is 10-15m, making this a nice dive for all levels of divers. This is a fantastic dive in most weather except for S-SW winds.

HMAS Perth II

The HMAS Perth II is a wreck 133 meters long sitting at a depth of 5-36m. This is a great dive for Open Water and higher level of divers. The average visibility is 10-15m. This is a boat dive only that is a 20min boat ride from the marina. There is a fixed mooring.

The Fingers

A deep dive for experienced divers. Access via a 35minute boat ride from the Albany Town Marina. Ideal in low wind situations. Exposed dive site which is difficult to anchor on (plan for live boat - take SMB!) Entry adjacent steep limestone wall.

The Caves

This is a small site with beginner and intermediate level caves to explore. Depth up to 28m. Large stone bommies with beautiful coral growth. This is a very spectacular dive.

The Bone Yard

A small dive site with incredibly dense plate coral rising from 18m up to 13m which is home to a large variety of juvenile fish. An easy dive site for beginners or those just getting back into diving.

Herold Reef

Just a 30 minute boat ride from the marina, you can dive this ancient submerged limestone coastline. Herold reef offers a shallow (4-16m) dive, with interesting structure and ample life. The dive is quite exposed and can have a fair bit of surge with any swell. The shallower parts can break in heavier swell.

Murray Road Boat Ramp

This is a beginner level dive with an easy shore based entry. You will dive along a small rock wall with an average depth of 5 m. This site is usually protected from most weather (except Easterly’s).

The Cables

Name after an old communication cable which is now tangled through the site. The Cables depth ranges from 8-28m; a great site for Open Water divers or higher. Visibility averages at 10-15m. It is about a 40min boat ride from the marina to the site.

A shallow dive which is suitable for beginners and exciting night diving. Can be either a shore entry with a surface swim or gentle rock stride entry.
