Kiskon Avolouhos

The Kisko open pit is located in Salo, about a 1.5-hour drive from Helsinki. The rail is a great place to practice ice diving and we will use this of course if you need to do exercises on the 18m deeper side, but don’t really need any mega deep.

The dive site in the lake Tiilijärvi is about 15 minutes drive from the center of Lahti. You should leave your car in the parking area at the top of the beach.Do not drive to the beach, as this area is a recreation area for walkers, cyclists.

Rummu quarry

Rummu is a submerged limestone quarry and former Soviet prison. Much of the natural area of the quarry is under a lake formed by groundwater, and is situated next to a spoil tip. Very shallow. Maximum depth 14 meters but mostly you will dive at 5-7 meters depth. Visibility is about 15 meters.

A dive site for the new diver that allows easy access to the water and some marine life. Beautiful area to use when getting ready for the dive. Some small marine life as well.

Järppilän louhos

Järppilä quarry is a disused granite quarry. The open pit in question has been filled with water and is a popular diving destination where diving is allowed. The site is behind a locked boom and local diving clubs and organizations have the keys to it.

Korven Louhos

This dive site is a quarry in the middle of a production area with access only through partners of the quarry like local clubs and dive centers. Access is only allowed on weekends, outside working hours! There is a locked boom when it is closed. The max depth is less than 30m.

Hilloisten Louhos

This quarry is an old granite quarry that is still within the production area, therefore access to the site is only granted through a dive club or the company. The booms are locked and diving is only allowed on weekdays starting at 3pm and on weekends). Great for all kinds of training, with max depth of 19m.
