The Jetty

The pin for this site marks the exit point for this drift dive in the Columbia River. The starting point is at Howard Amon Park off of Newton Street at the Scuba Dive Park. The quality of this dive is very dependent on the river flow, turbidity, temperature and boat traffic. The average maximum depth is 45 feet.

Columbia River Canyon

Advanced drift dive with moderate visibility. Even with bright daylight, it is dark and a good dive light is always recommended. Boat traffic at the marina can be a hazard and divers need to watch carefully. The exit is near the base of the 182 bridge.

“Speedboat“ dive. This river dive is a great moderate advanced dive. The climax of this dive is at on old piston driven speedboat that sunk many years ago. Not much of the boat is surviving other than the large engine and bright chrome exhaust headers.

This site is located in Sudden Valley. A community outside of Bellingham. This park is open during daylight and closed at night. The gate is also subject to close to environmental issues like flooding. Great easy entry. Bathrooms are seasonal open.
