Geopark 1 BABINA area near Leknica is situated in a forest by the trail and belongs to the UNESCO heritage. A car park has recently been built and the access road from the exit and the gas station on the DK12 road to the German border has been improved.

The quarry’s main building has a toilet, shower, changing rooms, and a hotel nearby. It is possible to put up a tent for camping. A steep descent down the metal stairs leads to the water with one entrance and one exit. At the stairs, it is possible to descend to 5m at buoy no. 1.

The quarry is located on private property with a street-side entrance from the dive shop. There is not much space to park by the boulders. Often, you may have to park at least two buildings away.

Haustein Steina

This dive site is a former granite quarry, which was closed in 1970 and the rock platform just behind the entrance is at a depth of 5 m and is ideal for diving exercises for beginners. The wreck, the former Elbe ferry “Mühlberg“, can be found at 20m.

Prelle Quarry

The Prellesee former granite quarry is also called Kesselbruch. The water depth is 46.5m with 1.8 hectares surface area. Visibility is usually 6 - 12m. Access is regulated by the allocation of keys. Registration and sign-out is usually done via the dive center Steina.
