Hondoq Reef

One of the hidden gems of Gozo, Hondoq Reef is the perfect second dive of the day. Shallow, with plenty of light and life, the reef has a myriad of arches, overhangs, and swim-throughs for divers to explore. This reef is a photographer’s dream due to the lighting, different textures, and ample life found here.

P31 Wreck

The P31 Wreck is another dive site visited during the Full Day Boat Trip to Comino. It is a small patrol boat wreck between 11m and 20m, making it a perfect dive site for those beginning their adventure with wrecks. It is safe to penetrate as all dangerous parts have been removed.

Hondoq Bay

Hondoq Bay is a shallow bay on the southeast of Gozo and is ideal for courses and introduction dives. A suitable dive for inexperienced divers. You will find a sandy bottom, water pipeline, and arches to the east. There is a hidden inlet with a small cave to the west. Depth ranges from 5 to 12m.

Latern Point (Ras I-Irqieqa)

Lantern Point is another boat dive south west of Comino Island. It offers a mix of swim throughs, boulders and drop offs. The main attraction is the chimney between 5 and 16m followed by boulders and swim throughs. It’s a dive site suitable for Advanced divers or higher.

Right Arch

Cirkewa Arch is a beautiful natural underwater archway. The Arch is actually a cavern where the roof has collapsed long ago, leaving the Arch as a result. The Arch is at 12m below the surface and 8m above the seabed. On the way to the Arch there are also some nice caves/tunnels.

Is a shallow diving area in Cirkewwa. This dive site is ideal for beginners as there is a rocky plateau of only 6 meters deep, which is often used to practice skills. It’s also a good warm up to dive to the start a diving holiday in Malta.

Ahrax Inland Sea

Ahrax is a dive site with a fascinating rock canyon with a max. depth of 21 meters. The highlight of the Ahrax Inland Sea is the access underwater to a closed cave in a depth of 9 meters. This leads to a breathtaking Inland Sea which offers the diver a fascinating play of light.

madonna

Halfway along the reef wall there is a statue of our lady, also known as Madonna, in a small cave at a depth of 18 metres. The Madonna statue was placed in this cavern by a local dive club Amphibians Diving Club in November 1987. For the 20th anniversary in 2007 the dive club added a commemorative plaque.

P29

P29 was a former patrol boat for the Maritime Squadron of the Armed Forces of Malta. She was intentionally scuttled in 2007 to serve as scuba diving attraction and artificial reef. Is 52m long, and sits upright at a depth of 34m with the highest part at only 12m depth from the surface.
