Partnership between SSI China and Hunan International Economics University Diving Association

January 2, 2020 SSI China and Hunan International Economics University Diving Association start partnership. The Hunan International Economics University in Changsha is the biggest private university in the country of China, with over 40,000 students. SSI presented their state-of-the-art programs to the University Head personnel/teachers as well as to the University Diving Association during 2019. Our system of education matches the high-quality standard of the University. SSI is proud to be partnering with this prestigious institution for all Mermaid, Freediving, and Scuba Diving programs. An important aspect of this partnership is the emphasis placed on environmental conservation, a key element of the University Diving Association. SSI China, with its non-plastic approach, digital materials, and ecology programs, support the vision of the University. The official ceremony held at the end of November in front of 300 students, the University Board of Directors, and the City council, was the final act in launching this great partnership, making the University Diving Association the first SSI Diving Training Base in China. Mr. Ju, school Principal, and Jean-Claude Monachon, Vice-President, officially launched the partnership. During the ceremony, a presentation about the SSI System of Education and SSI’s commitment to environmental protection was provided by Mr. Kun, a valuable partner of SSI in China. The University will benefit from the services of a local Instructor Trainer and various activities will be promoted throughout 2020 with an emphasis on the SSI Ecology programs. According to Shirley Yan, SSI China Country Manager, several other Chinese Universities will be following this model in China and we can already state that the future of scuba diving in the younger generations is provided.
