Diving in Laamu Atoll

While much of the Deep South Maldives does have deep and treacherous dive locations, the Laamu Atoll is relatively close to the Central Atolls region and has weaker currents and better visibility than its southern neighbors. These factors make the area the best place in the Southern Atolls region for novice divers. The Fushi Kandi has 250m/820 feet that you can easily drift through at a fairly shallow depth. Here you will run into some amazing schools of barracuda and the incredible, flying Mobula rays.
