Giraavaru Caves

A spectacular dive site located in the south-east of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. Giraavaru Caves is located at a channel mouth and can therefore be affected by strong currents. The dive site itself is most interesting in between 5 and 25 meters where it is dominated by caves and overhangs.

Velassaru Cave

Velassaru Caves is a beautiful spot on the outside reef of south Male Atoll’s northern tip. The name is given by the dive site location in combination with several overhangs spreading from depth levels between 10 to 30 meters.

Kuda Haa

Kuda Haa consists of two connected thilas that can easily be spotted from the surface. One thila starts at 6 meters and the other one at around 14 meters. Both of them slope down to a sandy bottom at 30+ meters. Kuda Haa is a legendary site which many divers have dubbed as fish soup.

Moon Valley is located very close to Kuda Haa in the same channel to the south-east of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. Moon Valley is situated directly at the channel mouth. Moon Valley is a great channel dive site that is often conducted as a (gentle) drift dive along a wall.

Foah Malé

It is a dive for advanced divers with multiple logged dives and experience in deep diving, as you will be spending a lot of time in the blue water hanging at around 30m. The dive is in the middle of the ocean though you may start from the reef. High boat traffic. DSMB is a must.

Madi Miyaru Kanmathi

5 min from Hulhumale Jetty, an extensive reef. It’s a steep slope starting at 3-5m down to 25m, and then where it has a sandy bottom at 30m+. the further you got away from the the reef the deeper it gets. This dive site normally doesn’t have current. Please use an SMB when ascending as there is alot of boat traffic.

Alikoe Giri

Small Giri (shallow reef platform) located in a system of many Giris. The reef top is at 1-3m and slopes gently down. You can cross from one Giri to the other but the visibility is not very good usually.
