Batelao de Cima

The date of sinking of this ship is not precise, with sources pointing to 1850 to 1900. It was a small ship, which today lies at a depth of 25 meters and almost completely buried in sandy bottom.

The tugboat Lupus was sunk alongside the tugboats Minuano and Servemar X. The minimum diving depth is 30 meters and maximum 36 meters. Many parts are still intact and well preserved. It is possible to see two large chimneys next to the cockpit.

Servemar 1

Located 3.5 miles off the coast, in front of Boa Viagem Beach, the tugboat Servemar 1 is at a depth of 25 meters, slightly bowed to starboard. Its structure is not resistant, but some passages are possible, like in the engine room and where the steering wheel used to be. Both spaces are empty.

Pirapama

The reason for the crash between the Pirapama steam and the Bahia steam is still a mystery. It is estimated that this ship sank in 1889. Today it rests between 19 and 23 meters deep. Many pieces can be identified, which brings a great historical value to this shipwreck.

Due to the perfect and purposeful sinking, the tugboat Saveiros rests on the bottom in navigation position, at 28 meters of depth. Its structure is preserved, and it can be identified the mooring bollards, ducted propeller, house with control room, chimney and passages to the engine room.

After sinking in 2003, in Recife harbour, the tugboat Taurus was brought back to the surface and, due to the damages, donated to the artificial reef project. Today this wreck is at 25 meters deep, slightly adhering to port side. It is possible to penetrate and identify many pieces.

The tugboat Virgo lies on the bottom in a sailing position only 20 meters away from the tugboat Taurus, so in a single dive two wrecks can be visited. Large mooring bollards can be seen in the bow and the hull is in one piece, with a control room on top.

The tugboat Servemar X was sunk in 2002, along with two other tugs, Lupus and Minuano, which are also located in Recife. This wreck is in navigation position and very well maintained. This dive is made between 20 and 25 meters and may have the presence of current.
